I started my career rather by happenstance. I came home to visit shortly after graduating college and my dad was telling me about a local company that was going public and he was going to buy stock in the company. I asked him if I could buy some too and he said sure, just call my broker. I did and we visited a while and before we ended the conversation she offered me a job in operational support. I said sure. The rest is history as 3 years later, I was a licensed advisor and excited to help people pursue their financial goals.
I’ve been fortunate to have many wonderful client relationships. These relationships keep me motivated to keep learning and growing as a professional. It’s also the greatest reward to have a client say ‘thank you for all you do for me and my family’. I work hard to help my clients understand what they own and why they own it as this can help them manage their expectations better, especially in the tough times.
Helping others is a big part of who I am. I am active in the community, having served on several not for profit boards as well as being a member of Altrusa International of Hutchinson, KS, an organization that supports numerous community needs. Of course, I bleed purple, supporting my K-State Wildcats on game day. I’ve been married to the love of my youth, Mark, since 2016 after reconnecting many years later.
